About my work

My works are poetic gestures to resist the imposition of mediated and normalized experience by technology. I have the intention of leveraging the productive forces of media to entangle the virtual and the real in ways that resist recuperation into familiar cognitive and cultural schemas. I am looking for a metaphorical re-mapping of the world that discloses new possibilities of action and thought. I like to encourage alternative ways in which the body perceives and is perceived through new technologies. I remain particularly fascinated by the somatic technologies of the body and the material technologies of culture, both through each other and by way of the symbolic apparatus of language. My work is a response to an obsession so as to better cultivate unexpected forms of perception, imagination, and experience.
