This curatorial project transforms conversations into archives and archives into collectable objects only transferred via USB. The archive compiled was sold at Amsterdam’s Dappermarkt through a non-monetary exchange and purchased through an anonymous audio with one of the following confessions:

  1. Someone’s most recent dream
  2. Someone’s secret desire
  3. Someone’s fantasies

We invited pairs of strangers to engage in a wordless speed date within an interactive chatroom. Each pair co-created an archive of approximately 100 exchanged images. There wasn’t anything but images—no reactions, stickers, or icons. Every chatroom revolved around a specific theme.

The unconscious speaks in images, each one a gateway to deeper, underlying structures. These images transcend their surfaces; they forge meaningful connections and create pathways to our desires. Through their exchange, they form a horizontal network of ideas, memories, and fantasies.

By accessing an intimate archive we hope to provoke speculation on the nature of dreaming—leading you to unexpected insights into your own psyche and the connections between image and desire.
